Weeks 1–2
Pain
Calm the pain down.
Gentle hands-on work on the jaw muscles and the upper neck. We explain exactly what we are doing before we touch anything.
What We Treat
Jaw pain, clicking and clenching often travel with neck tension, and both respond to hands-on care. It is fixable, and it starts with a cause-first evaluation, not a guess.

Why It Happens
The jaw joint is small, heavily used, and closely tied to the neck. Pain and clicking here usually involve some mix of the joint itself moving unevenly, the muscles that work it being overworked from clenching, and an upper neck that is stiff and feeding into the whole pattern.
That is why jaw pain and neck tension so often turn up together, and why treating only the jaw leaves half the problem. A cause-first evaluation looks at both.
The Honest Truth
Nobody regrets starting too early. Plenty of people here wish they had started sooner.
How We Fix It
Every plan has an endpoint. Here is what the four phases look like for TMJ and TMD.
Weeks 1–2
Pain
Gentle hands-on work on the jaw muscles and the upper neck. We explain exactly what we are doing before we touch anything.
Weeks 2–6
Prime
Restoring symmetrical jaw opening, and freeing the upper neck, which is almost always part of it.
Weeks 6–10
Perform
Jaw control and posture work so opening and chewing stop loading the joint unevenly.
Weeks 10+
Prevent
Daytime habits, sleep position and stress-driven clenching get addressed, because that is what decides whether it returns.
Instead of the typical pattern of a therapist trying to juggle multiple people during a session, Sharon gives personalized one-on-one care for the entire appointment. She is the first therapist to understand what is causing my pain and how to address it.

Questions, Answered
Sometimes both. A dentist deals with your bite and with splints. We deal with the joint, the muscles working it, and the neck, which travels with jaw pain far more often than people expect. If you need the dental side, we will say so.
Yes. The hands-on work here is gentle and we explain exactly what we are doing before we touch anything. You are in control the whole time. If something is uncomfortable, we adjust it.
Most patients see a significant reduction in pain within six visits. A full plan for jaw pain runs through all four phases, Pain, Prime, Perform and Prevent, and you will always know which phase you are in and what is left. That is a plan with an endpoint, not an open-ended string of appointments.
