Weeks 1–2
Pain
Calm the pain down.
Hands-on techniques calm the irritated nerve and take the edge off inflammation, starting your very first visit.
What We Treat
The twinge that decides whether today is a good day. It is fixable, and it starts with finding the cause. It is fixable, and it starts with a cause-first evaluation, not a guess.

Why It Happens
Your back does not hurt for no reason, and it is almost never just one thing. It is usually some mix of an irritated disc sending pain down the leg, spinal joints that stiffened and stopped sharing the load, deep stabilising muscles that quietly weakened after the last flare-up, and daily habits that keep reloading the same spot before it heals.
None of that shows up on a quick glance, and it is why rest, ice or a generic stretching sheet so often falls short. They treat the symptom. A cause-first evaluation sorts out which of the four is actually driving it.
The Honest Truth
Nobody regrets starting too early. Plenty of people here wish they had started sooner.
How We Fix It
Every plan has an endpoint. Here is what the four phases look like for a low back.
Weeks 1–2
Pain
Hands-on techniques calm the irritated nerve and take the edge off inflammation, starting your very first visit.
Weeks 2–6
Prime
Targeted mobility work restores motion in the stiff segments that have been quietly guarding the injury.
Weeks 6–10
Perform
Progressive core and hip strengthening builds the stability your spine was missing in the first place.
Weeks 10+
Prevent
Lifting, bending and twisting mechanics get tested under real load before you are cleared. That is the endpoint, not just another appointment.
When I went to Sharon originally, I was unable to drive independently, pick up my son, walk for long periods, sleep was poor, and could not sit for work. She looked at my body as an entire system. I am happy to report I am back to being able to do all the tasks listed above with zero pain.

Back to all of it, with zero pain
Questions, Answered
Usually not, and it is rarely the first step. Most back pain improves without imaging, and studies consistently find disc bulges and wear and tear on MRIs of people with no pain at all, so a scan does not always point at the real cause. We start hands-on. If imaging becomes genuinely necessary, we will help you get it.
Yes, in almost every case, and lying still is usually the worse option. The trick is dose and direction. We find which movements calm your back down and which wind it up, then build the plan out of the first group.
Most patients see a significant reduction in pain within six visits. A full plan for back pain and sciatica runs through all four phases, Pain, Prime, Perform and Prevent, and you will always know which phase you are in and what is left. That is a plan with an endpoint, not an open-ended string of appointments.
