Weeks 1–2
Pain
Calm the pain down.
Settling pain where we can, and building the strength and motion you will be drawing on for the whole recovery.
What We Treat
Going into surgery stronger is the cheapest way to come out of it faster. It is fixable, and it starts with a cause-first evaluation, not a guess.

Why It Happens
Surgery fixes a structure. It does not restore the strength you lost while you were waiting, and it does not retrain the movement patterns that changed while you were protecting the area. Those are the things that decide how the joint feels a year later.
Going in stronger is the cheapest thing you can do for your own outcome. Coming out with someone actually watching your progress is the other half. We build the plan inside whatever restrictions your surgeon has given you.
The Honest Truth
Nobody regrets starting too early. Plenty of people here wish they had started sooner.
How We Fix It
Every plan has an endpoint. Here is what the four phases look like before and after surgery.
Weeks 1–2
Pain
Settling pain where we can, and building the strength and motion you will be drawing on for the whole recovery.
Weeks 2–6
Prime
Working inside your surgeon’s restrictions to win back range early, because that window does not come back.
Weeks 6–10
Perform
Progressive loading to close the gap with the other side, which is what makes the joint feel like yours again.
Weeks 10+
Prevent
We load it the way your week does, then test it before you are cleared, rather than discharging you on a date.
She helped him reestablish his balance and overall strength prior to and after his knee surgery. She goes above and beyond, truly cares about her clients. My husband looked forward to each visit.

Questions, Answered
A great deal. Going into an operation with more strength and better movement is one of the most reliable ways to come out of it faster. It is also the cheapest part of the whole process.
Usually as soon as your surgeon clears you, and often sooner than people expect. Bring your post-op instructions and we will build the plan inside whatever restrictions you have been given.
Most patients see a significant reduction in pain within six visits. A full plan for surgery, before and after runs through all four phases, Pain, Prime, Perform and Prevent, and you will always know which phase you are in and what is left. That is a plan with an endpoint, not an open-ended string of appointments.
