From Cebu City to Carpentersville

I grew up in Cebu City, Philippines, and trained as a physical therapist at Velez College. Since then I have worked across nearly every setting there is: outpatient clinics, inpatient units, nursing homes, home health, and sports rehab with patients ranging from kids and geriatric patients to everyday adults. That range is where I learned to treat the person in front of me, not just the diagnosis on the chart. I am also a Sergeant in the US Army Reserve, and I carry the same values from that title into my work.

Orthopedics and wound care, one patient at a time

As an owner and physical therapist at Maxicare, I focus on orthopedic physical therapy and wound care. What keeps me here is the one-on-one time with patients and the flexibility to build a schedule that actually fits their life, not just mine.

My core values come straight from my military training: loyalty, duty, respect, integrity, selfless service, honor, and personal courage. If you want the short version of how I think about recovery, it is this: “You only lose when you stop.”

Away from work

Outside of work I am usually on a basketball court, in the middle of a good book, or unwinding with an online game. The Count of Monte Cristo, The Alchemist, and Runaway Jury are the ones I keep coming back to.
